Privacy

A journal nobody can read but you.

Most apps in this category ask for your birth date, your birth time, your birth city, and your diary, then store all four on their own servers. SkyWiser is built so that it cannot.

Your journal
Encrypted on your device and stored in your own iCloud private database. We hold no key and no copy. We cannot read it, and we cannot recover it for you.
Your birth details
Entered on your device, and the chart is calculated there. Your birth date, time and place are never sent to SkyWiser's servers. Turning the birthplace you type into coordinates uses Apple's geocoding service — that one lookup is the only time it leaves your phone.
Your readings
Written by Anthropic's Claude from derived chart geometry — planetary positions, dasha context, and the mood you picked. No name, no birth date, no birth time, no birth place, no device location.
What we store
Your Sign in with Apple identifier, your subscription status, and a cached copy of the readings we generated for you. No name, no email address — Apple never tells us either one.
What we don't do
No ads. No third-party trackers or analytics SDKs. No selling your data, to anyone, ever.

The sky context

Where the day's positions come from.

The sky is context, not instruction. It sits beside your words, and what you make of it is yours.

The positions themselves are computed on your iPhone by an ephemeris we wrote — VSOP87 for the planets, ELP2000 for the Moon, standard Meeus algorithms for time scales and houses. There is no third-party astrology API behind this app, and your birth details are never transmitted.

The tradition they are read in is Krishnamurti Paddhati, a precise branch of Vedic astrology whose one distinguishing move is refusing to stop at the sign.

A sun-sign column divides the sky twelve ways and stops. KP keeps going — each sign into 27 nakshatras, each nakshatra into sub-divisions ruled by a different planet. The sub-lord, a slice a few arc minutes wide, is where a KP reading is actually made.

The journal is free. Always.

Writing, mood check-ins, the 14-day heatmap and your full private history cost nothing and never expire. A subscription tunes the sky context to your own chart: your Vimshottari dasha period, and the day's transits read against your chart rather than against the sky in general.

A lapsed subscription never locks you out of your own writing.
